About Her
Kelly Ervin attended Widener University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies, focused in Public Relations & Advertising. She has experience as a Communications Specialist, Event Planner, and working with social media and marketing. Her passion is helping companies grow to their fullest potential and beyond. She has expertise in building user engagement and event planning management/execution. She is also known for her exceptional organization, strong technical skills, and prioritization skills to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
Kelly has planned multiple events for her current company, Nouryon, a global essential solutions provider. To name a few, she planned, developed, and executed her company's very first Nouryon Intern Week 2022. She brought interns from Nouryon’s sites across the country to experience, learn, and network together. She created all the content, communications, along with all event planning responsibilities (catering, travel, transportation, expense reports, calendar management, etc.) for this event. She has also planned events with the Philadelphia Eagles football team for the Autism Awareness Challenge, as well as Day of Service events for the Kids in Need Foundation (KINF), and much more.
Along with event planning, Kelly has aided Nouryon’s Global Communications Team in boosting user engagement across all social media platforms and achieving 100k followers on LinkedIn through content creation, user engagement, and social media campaigns. She also works with Nouryon’s Corporate Human Resources Team on internal and confidential projects that are distributed to all Nouryon employees globally.
Another part of her experience is the virtual internship she completed with the International Wine and Spirits Competition company (IWSC), based out of London, UK. During her time there, she worked within their CMS systems, produced, and published content, and used SEO to update and manage their press page. She also conducted user and producer outreach, and created analytic reports via listening tools, for all social media platforms.

In September 2020, Kelly's work was published onto her internship's website. She wrote the captions to photos in the article. During her time at IWSC, Kelly learned how to adapt to the UK's dialect and difference in culture. She learned a new way of writing that differed from any writing classes that she attended in America.

Capstone Experience
Kelly and a group of 3 other Widener Seniors created, designed, and promoted a student-friendly messaging campaign regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their client was Widener University's Relations Department.
